Sohini Bagchi, a professional doctorate in media studies is a journalist by profession and a writer by passion. She has wielded the pen for media houses such as The Times Group, IDG Media and Hindustan Times. Currently, she works as chief editor with an online media house in Bangalore.

Sohini is a storyteller, a communication expert and the author of ‘Road To Cherry Hills’ a romantic fiction that narrates the story of a young woman and her journey of self-discovery.

From an early age sohini had wanted to become a journalist. While in high school, she joined as ‘cub reporter’ with The Statesman taking up weekend assignments. To give wings to her dreams, she pursued her masters in media and communication studies from Manipal Institute of Communication, Karnataka.

She then went on to do a post-graduation in human rights from New Delhi and receives the National Human Rights Promotion Award for her work on Child labour in Kolkata. She is also a speaker at a number of cultural and business forums.

Sohini loves to mentor young minds in the field of writing and communication. Mentoring, she believes helps her in filling her knowledge gaps and allows her to grow and excel.

Sohini also blogs extensively, her writings reflecting her take on the various aspects of life and society. She also calls herself an explorer, having traveled to various countries and exotic places. She has penned down many of her mindboggling experiences in her blog and various travel magazines.

During her spare time, she loves to read, cook, listen to music and practice Karate and Yoga. More than anything, she enjoys spending time with her family and close friends, especially with her beloved son Kush.
